Growing emotionally - together.

Social Therapy is a powerful form of group therapy that has helped thousands of people create meaningful change in their lives, relationships, and communities.

Many of us reach moments where simply understanding what’s wrong isn’t enough. You may be facing a painful situation, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, or sensing that more is possible; even if nothing feels “broken.” Social Therapy helps people grow emotionally so they can meet life’s challenges in new ways and create the life they want to live. How? By creating an environment where we can share emotional and relational struggles together and create something new with it: new conversations, new meanings, new emotions, new tools and new lives. In doing so, we all develop.

At The Atlanta Center for Social Therapy, we offer group-based therapeutic experiences, along with training and consulting for healthcare, business, and organizational settings.

How We Can Help

Social Therapy supports people who want to:

  • Strengthen relationships and communication

  • Feel more connected to others

  • Navigate emotional challenges with support

  • Grow confidence, creativity, and emotional flexibility

  • Create new possibilities in work, family, and community life

Why Group Therapy?

We live our lives in groups—families, friendships, partnerships, workplaces, and communities. When we feel disconnected from others, it can create deep loneliness, stress, and emotional pain. . Ordinarily, we feel we need to get help individually, even though the experience of pain is socially created. Why not change that with others?

Group therapy offers a unique and supportive environment where people can reconnect, practice being in relationship, and experience belonging. Rather than facing challenges alone, you grow with others—learning how to interact, listen, play, collaborate, and support one another in creating new ways to address them.

What Does Group Therapy Offer?

In a Social Therapy group, participants work together as a team to:

  • Develop new emotional and communication skills

  • Learn how to listen, respond, and relate differently

  • Practice being more fully present and authentic with others

  • Experience growth through shared interaction and ac

The group creates a richer environment for learning and change than individual work alone. Growth happens through real relationships—not just talking about life, but actively engaging in it.

How Does Social Therapy Work?

As the group grows, each individual grows.

Through group interaction, participants develop a deeper awareness of themselves and others—how they show up in relationships, their strengths, and where growth is possible. You’ll have opportunities to:

  • Try new emotional responses

  • See situations from multiple perspectives

  • Practice new ways of communicating and connecting

  • Work through intense emotions in a supportive setting

Over time, people build emotional strength, confidence, and healthier ways of relating. Participants often discover they can actively create the supportive environments they need—both in the group and in their everyday lives.

A Transformational Experience

Many people describe Social Therapy as having a profound impact on their emotional lives—helping them move through pain, build stronger relationships, and live with greater purpose and fulfillment.

If you’re ready to grow emotionally and explore what’s possible, we’re here to support you.
